5 TERRIFIC LINKS FOR THE IELTS TEACHER

It's not easy to teach IELTS and finding teaching activities is harder. But, I managed to discover great resources for the busy IELTS teacher. Check them out!

1. Cambridge ESOL Teaching Resources
If you're new to teaching the IELTS, this is the first thing that you should check out. It includes a step-by-step guide on how to execute the downloadable activities for listening, reading, speaking and writing.

2. Tefltastic with Alex Case
Alex has done a good job in creating worksheets for IELTS. Among the interesting activities include building vocabulary for the writing and speaking section. Definitely, a better alternative to boring practice drills.

3. English Language Center
Don't have time to create powerpoints? Polytechnic University's ELC has useful powerpoint presentations for all of the modules.

4. Onestopenglish
Onestopenglish has a nice section for IELTS. The activities aren't much but one best feature is the activity of teaching IELTS with minimal resources. Good enough for the cheapskates and busy teachers.

5. IELTS for Teachers/Students
Paul Griffith has creative activities to teach IELTS. You will also find helpful tips on how to approach the reading, listening, speaking and writing tests. The site navigation needs improvement, though.

There you go! If you have stumbled upon some other teaching resources, please feel free to put it in the comments section.
